Traffic unit

Traffic enforcement has been a top priority with a renewed effort to saturate the roadways with increased “zero-tolerance” enforcement.  The Palm Bay Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit consists of eight officers who are divided equally among three districts.  This number reflects the addition of four new officers dedicated full time to enforcing traffic laws. 

Officers will continue to proactively pursue traffic violators with targeted enforcement in problem areas in an effort to reduce the number of crashes and improve the overall safety of the roadways.
