The City Clerk's Office administers the city elections and accepts candidate filings.

The City of Palm Bay will hold its municipal election on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which time two (2) councilmembers (Seats 4 and 5) will be elected to serve from the first Council meeting in November 2010 following the election, to the first Council meeting in November 2014, following the election.

Requirements to Qualify as Candidate:

 

To announce and qualify as a candidate for office, you must be a:

1)  resident of Palm Bay for two (2) years prior to the date of the election; and

2)  registered voter, enrolled at a City address

 

Announcing Candidacy (Pre-Qualifying):

 

If you are interested in qualifying as a candidate for one of the above seats, you may announce your candidacy for Council by filing a Candidate Pre-Qualifying Packet with the Office of the City Clerk.  All original forms are to be filed with the City Clerk or her designee.  Faxing or e-mailing these documents is not acceptable.

The City’s actual qualifying period starts on Monday, August 16, 2010, at 8:30 A.M. and ends on Friday, August 20, 2010, at 5:00 P.M.  Forms will be available from the Office of the City Clerk and on-line during this time period and may only be filed during this week.  All original forms are to be filed with the City Clerk or her designee.  Faxing or e-mailing these documents is not acceptable.
