Economic Development Task Force

Function:

To encourage the creation, expansion and retention of the manufacturing, retail, commercial base of Palm Bay by reviewing and making recommendations on the economic development goals contained in the City’s Strategic Plan/Vision document.

Membership Requirements:

• Must be in operation in the City for a minimum of two (2) years.
• Eligibility based on either the average number of employees for the preceding 12 months or on the volume of sales averaged over a 3 year period.  Small business must fall within one of the categories listed in Ordinance No. 2011-20.

Maximum Number of Members:

• Four (4) representatives of largest non-governmental employers within the City.
• Four (4) members of largest commercial or industrial land owners within the City.
• Three (3) representatives of small businesses.

Length of Term: 

Four (4) years
